What: Help us pack weekend sacks of food to be distributed to Golden school children
Who: All ages, making it a great family-volunteering activity
When: Wednesdays 6-6:30pm throughout the school year
Where: GBP Headquarters located inside New Hope Community Church (16800 W 9th Ave, Golden, CO 80401)

What: Picking up breakfast OR lunch meals from local Golden restaurants and delivering them to Bell Middle School for distribution.
Who: 18+ years old with a clean driving record
*You will be contacted prior to your first shift for training and instruction
*Adequate trunk space in your vehicle
*Ideal for someone who can commit to a couple (+) shifts per week
*Masks required

What: Every week our Fresh Food Co-op receives rescue food from local grocery stores in the Denver area. This food is unloaded from our delivery truck, sorted, date/quality checked, and stocked onto the shelves.
Who: Anyone 12 years and older – great for individuals and service groups
When: Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30am-12:30pm

What: BGoldN Meal Distribution – Bell Middle School
Who: Any age with guardians and/or family.
*Ideal for folks that can commit to multiple shifts per week
*Volunteers will be contacted prior to first shift for orientation and training

What: Volunteer at Food Bank of the Rockies and help us earn credit toward the food we purchase

The Golden Backpack Program invests $7,000-$10,000 a year on food from Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) for our Weekend Sack Program. When you volunteer at FBR you can help us earn credit toward the food we purchase. Just let FBR know you are volunteering on behalf of the Golden Backpack Program.
