Jon Bortles is a Colorado native and third generation Golden resident. In typical cliché fashion, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and otherwise being outdoors with his wife Kendal and son Bearett. Jon earned a bachelor degree in environmental studies & economics from the University of Colorado Boulder as well as his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Denver. Born and raised in the pizza business, Jon has spent the majority of the last fifteen years working at his father’s restaurant, Woody’s Wood-Fired Pizza, where he currently serves as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to assuming this role upon his dad’s retirement, Jon spent five years as the Sustainability Director for the Auraria Campus and CU Boulder.
