Wendy grew up in Ohio where she received her Bachelor’s in Business Management and MBA, and worked for several years in various management roles. After moving to Colorado, she became a substitute teacher for Jeffco Schools, and found her true passion – working with children.

She has been married for 30 plus years to her high school sweetheart, Steve.  They have two children, Abby & Ian. In her free time, she loves hiking, mountain biking, skiing, music, exploring our beautiful state. She has been a volunteer for Golden Backpack Program for a number of years, and joined the Board in 2017.
